In addition to the availability of its Optimus 3D MAX smartphone India, LG also announced the release of its Optimus L7 handset in the country.

The new smartphone is meant to deliver increased performance capabilities to all users, while also enabling them to take advantage of a beautiful design that the L-Series handset sports.

On top of that, the mobile phone will deliver all the features and enhancements that Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has to offer to them.

This is the first LG smartphone to arrive on shelves in India with the Ice Cream Sandwich platform right from the start, while being built in line with LG’s Unique Design Philosophy called “L-Style.”

The handset vendor explains that this design philosophy was forged based on five aesthetic elements: Modern Square Style for comfortable grip, Floating mass technology for slimmer look, Seamless layout for intuitive key disposition, Harmonized design contrast with metallic accents, and sensuous Slim shape.

“Design is consistently an important factor for customers when choosing a mobile phone and with L-Style we’re going to go back to our roots as a company focused on products that fit into the lifestyle of customers,” Soon Kwon, president of South West Asia Region & MD LG India, stated.

“Building on the success of the LG Smartphones, we are proud to unveil the LG Optimus 3D Max & Optimus L7. Optimus series has been testimony to customers’ requirement and latest features makes it an award-winning range.”

The specifications list of Optimus L7 includes a single-core 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon application processor, complemented by 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot to expand it.

The handset also comes with a 4.3-inch display that can deliver a WVGA (480×800) pixel resolution, as well as with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED Flash and video recording capabilities, complemented by a 1.3MP camera on the front, for making video calls.

In addition, the smartphone features a 8.7 mm slim body, support for WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, built in GPS receiver, and a pre-loaded LG Mobile TV application that brings support for 50+ live TV Channels. The handset also comes with LG’s Optimus UI 3.0.
