LG is bringing to the market a new high-end smartphone running under Google's Android operating system, there is no doubt about that, and what appears to be the first live photos with the device, supposedly dubbed LU6200, have just made an appearance into the wild.

The fact that this device is headed for the market before the end of the ongoing year is no longer a mystery, since LG themselves mentioned it in a recent press release that announced the upcoming exclusive availability of Street Fighter IV on this high-end smartphone.

Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile, stated the following: “As we prepare our first HD smartphone for launch, it was important for us to be able to offer HD content that would really demonstrate this phone’s benefits.”

“The HD version of Street Fighter certainly fills this objective. We are also confident that LG’s soon-to-be-unveiled HD display technology will give Street Fighter fans a whole new reason to play the game again.”

However, no specific details on when the handset might arrive on the market have emerged for the time being, nor on the price tag it might feature when released.

Even so, we do have some info on what the device might pack in terms of hardware specifications and the like, though nothing has been officially confirmed on these details until now.

The upcoming LG LU6200, which, apparently, is the HD Android handset from the company, as a recent leak unveiled, should include a 1.5 GHz dual-core application processor when made available for purchase on the airwaves of LG U+ in South Korea, as well as support for the carrier's LTE network.

Moreover, the mobile phone is expected to sport a 4.5 inch IPS HD display, along with a high-quality camera, and connectivity capabilities that include DLNA, WiFi, Bluetooth, WiFi direct, GPS receiver, and the like.

The mobile phone is said to arrive on the market with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and might be officially introduced during the fourth quarter of the ongoing year. In the meantime, have a look at the images available with this handset, courtesy of gallery.cetizen. (via)
