LG’s brand new 8.3-inch tablet will be arriving in the UK just in time for the Christmas shopping frenzy, the company has announced.

Previous information has claimed that the Korean manufacturer was planning on making the slate available in 30 countries spread across different territories like North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia.

However, the company has a history of not including key regions of Europe in its launches, like we have seen with the rolling out of LG’s Optimus G Pro smartphone, when the device failed to appear in the UK.

But now the company is launching its slate in UK, as well as in Ireland, for the price of £259.99 / $415 / €306, Engadget reports.

Two differently colored models will soon pop up in retail locations, in white and black. The LG Pad 8.3 will run Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 out of the box and is only available in Wi-Fi version.

The model that Brits will be able to grab, features the 8.3-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Power is provided by the 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. LG provides 16GB of storage on board.
