South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is expected to bring to the market a nice range of new devices before the end of the ongoing year, and some info on these devices has just emerged.

Before the year is over, we should see a new set to smartphones available for purchase from the company, including a range of high-end devices that would appeal a lot to those who already met the company's latest flagship handsets.

Google's Android operating system was chosen for some of these products, but the lineup is not limited to it, as there would also be a Windows Phone Mango-based handset set to hit the shelves in the coming months.

LG Prada K2 is one of the said phones, sporting dual-core application processor and a large 4.3-inch NOVA LCD touchscreen display and being only 8.8-millimeter thick, while running under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform.

The handset is said to arrive on shelves with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, a 1.3-megapixel front camera, and 16GB of internal memory. It would also pack 21Mbps HSPA+ capabilities, along with a Prada-inspired texture on the outside.

LG Univa is the second smartphone on the list, the successor of last year's highly popular Optimus One, also based on Gingerbread.

It should arrive on shelves with an 800MHz processor inside, a 3.5-inch display that can boast an HVGA resolution, a 5-megapixel photo snapper, DLNA support, and a body measuring only 11.9-millimeters thick.

LG Victor is another Android, with a 1GHz single-core processor and a 3.8-inch OLED WVGA display in the mix, along with 5MP camera, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, DLNA and Wi-Fi Direct, and Gingerbread.

Next in line is the LG Gelato NFC (LS685), a mid-range smartphone powered by an 800MHz processor and featuring a 3.2-inch HVGA display. It would also include a 3MP camera, and NFC capabilities, as the name suggests.

While the last two might be released on shelves as soon as the third quarter of this year, the LG Prada K2 and LG Univa might be launched only next quarter, rumor has it.

Also in the Android line, LG might launch the entry-level LG E2, with a QVGA display, as well as an LG K (P930) smartphone, which might pack a 720p HD display, supposedly 4.5 inches large.

And there is also the aforementioned Windows Phone Mango handset, supposedly called LG Fantasy, which should include similarities with the company's high-end Android devices.
