The company announces the availability in Europe of the LG G1800 model, a cell phone with digital audio file playback functions.

Besides MP3 playback functions, this product includes an USB memory support of 64 MB which can be used for storing and transporting songs or any other type of files.

The G1800 model includes a dedicated MP3 menu and the possibility of simultaneously using the phone and listening to songs. The user will be able to look at menus, send messages or to play games while the MP3 player works.

Still, if the user of the G1800 model is called, file reading is automatically interrupted and is restarted only when the conversation stops.

The phone has polyphonic ring tones, but the ring tone can also be chosen from the MP3 files stored in the internal memory. If you have a little imagination and talent, you can compose your own ring tone using a database of 10 instruments. The phone has also voice recorder functions. The recordings can be used as ring tones.

The dimensions of the G1800 are 99 x 45 x 17 mm, and the weight is less than 78 gram; the LCD displays 9 text lines and 262,000 colors. Since it's a multimedia phone, the model includes a jack for connecting a pair of external speakers, thus transforming the phone into a Hi-Fi minisystem. Recharging the battery is achieved through the USB connection and the MP3 player functions are available without the SIM card. The price is estimated at 140 euros and the package also includes a stereo hands-free kit.
