And a new image campaign

LG Electronics is trying, just like any other company, to gain an important share of the telecommunication market, and the strategy chosen to outline the aggressive approach taken to achieve that goal is extremely original.

The newest marketing campaign proposed by LG consists of scenes taken from Swan Lake, but the role of the "prime ballerina" is taken by a danseur, marking a change of concept and perfectly outlining the need of change.

This campaign is added by the launching of a new cell phone model, LG-vx9800, which has a complete QWERTY keyboard, a wide screen LCD with 262,000 colors and EV-DO compatible. The device has already been announced as available in China, dubbed LG-e910; it is the exact replica of the LG-vx9800, except the incorporated digital camera which is now capable of 1.3 megapixels compared to the 0.3 megapixels. All these specifications have been submitted to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission).

The design of the LG phone is almost identical to the one of the Nokia Communicator; the device even includes the set of stereo speakers parallel to the LCD, so that the user enjoys the multimedia applications. The EV-DO standard allows the connecting of the terminal at high transfer rates. Most likely, this phone won't have an operating system installed on it, but will retain the structure of a classic phone.
