LG launched a HDD recorder that allows viewing, recording and playing TV shows simultaneously. This is said to be the world's first Super Multi HDD Recorder, and has a fairly large storage capacity of 250 GB, making room for around 40 hours of recordings in high definition format.

LG's Super Multi HDD Recorder, RH7796NW, produces a high quality video decoder resolution of 720 x 576i/p. Also, the device features a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) output, which enables the transfer of high quality digital audio and video using only one cable.

Features like Time-Shifting, Pause and Replay enable the viewed program to be paused, and replayed while the recording is made. RH7796NW will be available this month at a price of US$1299.

LG officials say that the company wants to bring home entertainment to a new level with the launch of the new Super Multi HDD Recorder because the customers are looking for more user friendly yet sophisticated systems.
