Verizon Wireless announced the release of LG enV2, available in the US as of tomorrow, the 30th of April, via all the Verizon Communications Stores in the country as well as online, at Verizon's website, and at Circuit City, the well-known electronics retailer.

Following the successful LG enV, the new enV2 is a slimmer and improved version of the original. Measuring 4.00 x 2.13 x 0.65 inches (101 x 54 x 16.5 millimeters) and weighing 4.23 ounces (122 grams) LG enV2 comes in the same form factor as the first enV, created to offer the best possible messaging and multimedia capabilities.

LG enV2 comes with a 2.4 inch internal main display, a full QWERTY keyboard for easy typing text messages and emails, an external display plus an external alpha-numeric keypad and navigation pad, a 2.0 Megapixel camera with digital zoom and video recording, mobile email (Yahoo!, AOL, Windows Live Mail, AIM, Verizon accounts or configurable POP3 and IMAP accounts), Instant Messaging, Web browser, Bluetooth, Text to Speech, Music player (MP3, WMV, AAC and AAC+), Video player (WMV, MP4, 3GP and 3G2) dual speakers and microSD card support for up to 8GB.

Running on Verizon's CDMA network, the enV2 also features VZ Navigator (for visual and audible traveling directions, places localization and maps), V CAST Music (with over three million songs available for download or live streaming) and V CAST Video (stream or download the latest news, entertainment and sports clips).

LG enV2 will be available in two colors, black and maroon. With a Verizon contract for two years, the handset will cost you no more and no less than $129.99, after a $50 rebate. $129.99 is also the price of the first enV phone, but this one is currently on discount and can be bought for only $79.99 (with a 2-year contract, of course).
