South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics was recently rumored to plan the release of an Android-based clamshell via wireless carrier Verizon in the United States, and a few more details on this device have just emerged, along with info on the company's first Windows Phone 7 handset, a sliding phone.

The upcoming Android-based handset emerged previously as the LG enV Touch 2, but the latest reports on the matter suggest it would be called LG enV G when launched on the market.

According to a recent article on BGR, we should see this phone brought to shelves by Big Red in the near future, through no specific info on when that would happen emerged.

However, some of the hardware specifications for LG enV G have been confirmed, including the clamshell form factor, or the presence of two touch-screen displays with it.

Moreover, it seems that the upcoming mobile phone should be powered by a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, but further details on it lack at the moment.

In addition to enV G, LG is rumored to plan the release of another Android-based smartphone in the near future, which would be a mid-level device, it seems, and which is expected to land at multiple carriers in the US, including Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, and MetroPCS.

Three different 3G radios should be packed inside this Android handset, but we'll have to expect for the official release date to get closer to learn more info on it.

However, some details on another LG smartphone did surfaced over at BGR, namely on the company's first Windows Phone 7 smartphone, which should be a slider, it seems.

The handset should pack a full-QWERTY keyboard, and is said to be available from any carrier when the operating system is brought to shelves.

However, rumor has it that two other sliding devices should be released when Windows Phone 7 becomes available.
