The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is the perfect occasion for releases of both mobile phones and services we have previously heard
of and were anxiously expecting.
Verizon Wireless and LG have officially announced that the LG VX9400 will be available in the first quarter of 2007, and will support V CAST Mobile TV.
The mobile phone comes equipped with a large 262k color LCD screen with a 320 x 240 pixel resolution that has been optimized for TV viewing, Bluetooth for connectivity and a 1.3 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities and flash, that enables the user to record up to one hour of video that can be stored on an external memory card.
"The LG VX9400 is yet another benchmark in a long line of firsts for LG Mobile Phones", said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A., Inc. "V CAST Mobile TV is truly groundbreaking in mobile phone technology, and we are proud to be among the first manufacturers to support this service that will change the way we use mobile devices forever."
Verizon customers will also be able to enjoy the latest hits on this V CAST Music-enabled mobile phone, by downloading songs through Verizon's service. The included MicroSD card slot will provide the user with more storage space for multimedia files, while support for Bluetooth stereo headsets will keep the music experience wire-free.
The phone will only be available in the US, on the
Verizon network, and will of course support the highly anticipated
MediaFLO that has also been officially announced by the wireless carrier.
