Before the end of this month, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is expected to bring to the market its first smartphone to feature a flexible display, supposedly called LG Z.

According to a recent article on zdnet.co.kr, LG has already confirmed plans to unveil the new device in October, though it did not offer specific info on its hardware capabilities.

However, it turns out that the smartphone will hit shelves with a curved display, a concave one, but that it will not be a flexible handset, as UnwiredView notes.

The upcoming device is expected to feature a Snapdragon 800 processor inside, and could also include 800 LTE-A connectivity capabilities.

Apparently, LG is set to release an entire lineup of smartphones with curved screens under the new Z-series, though it remains to be seen what exactly it will have in store for its users.
