LG launches “Consumer experience campaign” for LG G4

April 28 is going to be an important date for LG, as the company is expected to unveil its latest flagship device, the G4, with bells and whistles.

The Korean phone maker abstained from launching a flagship device at MWC 2015, probably because it didn’t want to compete with other giants in the industry like Samsung and HTC, who were also present there to unleash their latest top-tier devices.

LG saved its G4 flagship for a later date, and this strategy might as well be successful, given the fact that all eyes will be on the company come this month’s end.

Moreover, today we get a new interesting detail related to the LG G4. The producing company has just announced that “as part of its most ambitious smartphone introduction yet,” it will allow 4,000 lucky customers to test out the G4 before the smartphone is widely available for purchase.

LG to hand out free G4 phones for testing prior to launch

The program makes its debut on April 8 (today) in several locations throughout the world, including South Korea, Canada, China, Brazil, German, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, Turkey, UK, and the US.

So, who will be included in the promotion? LG explains that it will select the lucky testers “based on their entry responses” posted on the company’s local websites and social media pages. More details about how you can win a spot in LG G4’s testing campaign will be shared in the upcoming hours on these websites.

Once picked, the 4,000 testers should be receiving the new G4 handsets in up to 30 days, depending on their location. The negative aspect of the whole affair is that the lucky winners won’t be able to keep the flagships once the testing ends.

However, LG will have them perform several tasks, which in turn might bring about mysterious prizes. It does sound quite intriguing.

The LG G4 is expected to make a debut in a few weeks, and it will arrive with a 5.5-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and a Snapdragon 808 chip under the hood. We also know that the phone will don a 13MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and will run the LG UX 4.0 interface plastered on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop.
