South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has started to deliver the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system to more of its devices, with the Vu 3 being the latest to have received it, it seems.

At the moment, the update is reportedly available only for handsets in the company’s homeland market, and can be downloaded through LG Mobile’s support website now.

The Vu 3 is currently getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update at all three major wireless carriers in the country, including SK Telecom, KT and LG U+, as thedroidguy reports.

Apparently, the update will provide users with all of the features and capabilities that other devices from the company have received as part of it.

This would include a series of changes to the user interface, along with various security improvements, and better compatibility for ART runtime.

Moreover, the new OS version comes with wireless printing capabilities, enhanced browser speeds, and better camera performance. The battery life of the smartphone has been improved as well in the new release.

Moving forth, LG is expected to bring the Android 4.4 KitKat platform to more devices in its lineup, including the LG Optimus G, though owners of this phone will have to wait for a few months more until it is released for them as well.
