In Eastern Europe, for the time being

LG Viewty is now available in a fifth color version: hot red, more exactly, this coming after the black, silver, pink and purple versions released up to now. For the moment, the red Viewty seems to be available only in Ukraine (according to Mobile-Review), but it will soon go to Russia and other European countries too.

First released in the fall of 2007 (in October), only in a black edition, Viewty is one of the most successful high-end phones ever created by LG. Which doesn't mean it was sold in millions of units, but in almost one million - still a great achievement considering its pretty high retail price (around $500 or 325 Euros).

Viewty managed to attract lots of users due to its combination of nice looks and advanced features. With the new red version released, LG probably hopes the handset will keep registering good sales, which will probably happen.

Like most of the handsets that come out in various color editions, the red Viewty differs from its other versions only from the chromatic point of view. Therefore, users will get the features that are also packed in the previously released Viewty handsets, features that include, first of all, a 5 Megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens, auto focus, xenon flash and video capture (up to 120fps in QVGA mode) - one of the best cameras integrated into a mobile phone until now.

Furthermore, Viewty comes with a 3 inch TFT touchscreen display with 240 x 400 pixels and 256K colors, a Flash User Interface, tri-band GSM connectivity plus 3G/HSDPA, Music and video players with lots of formats supported, full HTML browser, Bluetooth with A2DP, FM radio with RDS and so on - all in an elegant case that weighs 112 grams and measures 103.5 x 54.4 x 14.8 millimeters.
