LG Viewty Brings its 5 Megapixel Camera to Romania

LG Electronics announced the availability of LG KU990 Viewty for the Romanian market, one of the latest high-end mobile phones to pack a photo camera with a quality close to professional cameras.

LG Viewty combines the latest LG technology with a sleek and elegant design in a compact tri-band GSM device (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) that offers almost anything a user might want from a mobile phone.
One of the most important features that Viewty includes is its 5 Megapixel photo camera that brings Schneider-Kreuznach lens, flash, image stabilizer and auto / manual focus for perfect, high-quality captures. Moreover, the camera offers the SmartLight function and the ISO800 standard, allowing users to take photos even in poor lighting conditions. The camera can also record video in VGA mode (640 x 480 pixels) at 30 Fps and in QVGA mode (320 x 240 pixels) at 120 Fps, allowing you to view even the smallest details of a moving object when in slow motion mode.

LG Viewty measures 103.5 x 54.4 x 14.8 millimeters, weighs 112 grams (including battery) and offers a 3 inch TFT touchscreen display with a 240 x 400 pixels resolution, perfect for viewing DivX video files. The handset doesn't have a normal keypad, and all the data input is made via its touchscreen with haptic feedback (to simulate the pressing of real buttons).

Other appealing features of LG Viewty include HSDPA connectivity for data transfer speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps, EDGE, Bluetooth, WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML browser, USB 2.0, Java MIDP 2.0, Music player, FM radio with RDS, Document viewer, PictBridge, 100 MB of internal memory, microSD (TransFlash) card support and so on.

With the occasion of releasing the Viewty phone in Romania, LG also launched a nicely-done website to showcase the phone's features, website that can be accessed at this address.

LG Viewty will be available starting February at most of the mobile distributors across Romania, although its retail price has not been disclosed yet.
