Replacement for LG Chocolate

Recent information concerning LG Venus has surfaced, reviving the Chocolate concept with a fresh design, but similar ambitions. The phone brings some bold features that few other similar devices have dared to bring up to this point.

LG Venus should open the door to a new line of handsets that will replace the highly successful Chocolate one. Surprising enough, the handset has received only little interest up to this point, although more should storm towards it in the future.

The most striking aspect on the LG Venus mobile phone is certainly its design. There are tons of other handsets out there capable of providing similar features and even more for the same money. What LG counts on to turn this device into a best seller is its good looks and witty design features.

The handset comes equipped with two separate display screens. The 2-inch one will impress nobody, as it's smaller than many other evolved devices are capable of providing. The second one, on the other side, is something special, that has been seen only in the case of some rare Japanese devices. The 1,5 inch touchscreen is placed right below the bigger one. Its main purpose is that of replacing an old fashioned menu for navigation and phone control.

The 2-megapixel camera is just an average feature that many other mobile phones manage to provide, which also counts for its following performances. LG Venus includes an MP3 player and also comes equipped with a microSD memory card slot for up 8GB of memory that should make it possible to store huge amounts of personal data on it. Another great feature is the 3G connectivity, which should enable it to bring fast data transfer speeds.

LG Venus will be available at Verizon starting with the 8th of November and will start shipping on the 19th of the same month. Its price will be USD 200 after a USD 50 rebate, with a two-year contract.
