It's not a secret that LG is trying to get into the Windows Phone market once again, but the moment the South Korean company will release a new handset powered by this operating system is still unknown.

Word about the unannounced LG-VW820 smartphone popped up online several months ago and once again back in February. This mysterious handset powered by Windows Phone will be released at Verizon Wireless at some point.

Those who doubted that the device will still make it to Verizon should be pleased to know that new information points to an imminent release of the LG-VW820.

The smartphone has recently been spotted on an LG Open Source Code Distribution page and then on an Open Source software notice.

While this proves that LG-VW820 is real, we're still unsure when exactly the smartphone will be launched by the Big Red.

The budget-friendly handset might be released on the coming months

Little is known about the smartphone's specs sheet, but we can safely assume that LG-VW820 will be a mid-range handset rather than a high-end one.

In this regard, the LG-VW820 is said to sport a 4.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution.

The smartphone is likely to be equipped with a quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, but the amount of memory is still unknown. However, there's a high-chance that LG-VW820 will probably pack 4GB or 8GB of storage, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Also, the smartphone will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system right out of the box, but it will probably be Windows 10 ready.

Since LG-VW820 has already appeared in so many places until now, we suspect an official reveal in the next couple of months, so stay tuned for more on the next Windows Phone handset coming at Verizon Wireless.
