Verizon Wireless has relesead a new version of the LG VX9800 model. The new LG V has the same characteristics[ADMARK] as the previous version, to which it adds support for Verizon's V CAST music service and VZ Navigator.
The phone is larger than other standard phones, measuring 116 x 50 x 25 mm and weighing
147 g. The large size is justified by the QWERTY keypad and the large internal display revealed when the handset is opened. The main screen supports a resolution of 320 x 256 pixels in 262k colors and is complemented by a secondary external display.
The multimedia part includes a camera with 1.3 mega pixel resolution, which can capture photos even in low light conditions due to the built in flash. Two large speakers ensure a good sound quality. The handset features support for the EV-DO standard that allows for high data transfer speeds. Other specifications include Bluetooth support and miniSD card slot for memory expansion.
LG V can be purchased for $149 with a two-year contract, or for $199 with a one-year contract.
