The new model now offers enough storage memory

Many of you might already know the LG Renoir KC910, a high-end camera phone that was announced back in November 2008. The handset was quite impressive – it had the looks, an 8-megapixel camera, a wide range of features and capabilities – yet it lacked one thing that such a phone would need, namely the large internal memory. It only featured 100MB of built-in storage space, not enough for such a device.

What we learn now is that the mobile phone maker came up with an upgrade to the handset, which is called LG Renoir 8GB Black. As its name suggests, the device includes 8GB of onboard memory, as well as an all-black casing. The new amount of storage space available should now be enough to suit the needs of any photography enthusiast.

Besides the storage capacity and the black case, it seems that there are no other differences between the original LG Renoir KC910 and the upgraded Renoir 8GB Black. All the capabilities of the previous version are to be found on its successor, including accelerometer, A-GPS, Wi-Fi and the 8-megapixel auto focus camera, which also sports Schneider-Kreuznach optics, xenon flash and VGA video recording.

In addition, the new LG Renoir 8GB Black is also expected to come with a touchscreen display, capable of delivering a 240 x 400 pixel resolution, 3G. EDGE, HSDPA 7.2, GSM (900/1800/1900),UMTS (2.1G/900) connectivity, messaging and Internet functionalities, USB, Bluetooth 2.0, FM Radio, MP3 player, speaker phone, and a 1000m Ah, Li-ion battery.

For the time being, there are no details on the availability or price of the new LG Renoir 8GB Black, although it could be more expensive than the original handset, but we hope that the phone maker will not make us wait too long before releasing the info.
