LG has released the U890 handset, which is an update of the U880 model.
The handset measures 98.8 x 49 x 18.2 mm and weighs 98g. It includes 2 displays: a primary 262k color screen supporting a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels and a secondary internal 65k color screen which can display a 96 x 96 pixel resolution.
The keypad has suffered some modifications since its predecessor, now featuring a metal flat design. The integrated
camera supports a resolution of 1.3 megapixels and 180 degree rotating lens and can be used for photo capture as well as video calls. The storage space consists of 68 MB of
memory which can be further expanded by using microSD cards.
For the multimedia part, the handset offers an MP3 player. As an improvement over its predecessor, the music player now has the ability to sort playlists by artist, song or album title. Thanks to the
Bluetooth support users can enjoy stereo music using Bluetooth headphones.
The phone operates in tri- band GSM 900/1800/1900 and is currently available in silver color, with two more color combinations - Silver/Blue and Silver/Pink - coming soon.
