Mobile phone carrier AT&T is reportedly gearing up for the launch of their first 3D-capable smartphone in the near future, namely in early September some of the latest rumors on the matter suggest. The handset, none other than the Target, is the company's flavor of LG Optimus 3D, and should be launched on September 4th, rumor has it.

Initially expected to land on the market on August 21st, the device seems to have been delayed by about two weeks, though no official info on the matter emerged for the time being.

A recent article on phoneArena notes that RadioShack is sure to have the mobile phone for sale only starting with September 4th, which suggests that other channels will make it available on that day as well.

Among the retailers that could add the phone to their offering, we can count Target, which might release it with a price tag of $79.99 attached to it, it seems.

AT&T has unveiled the new mobile phone with a price tag of $99.99 attached to it, but it appears that there is always room for better.

Given the fact that this is the first 3D-capable smartphone on AT&T's airwaves, its price tag should prove very appealing to users, that's for sure.

One thing that should be noted here is that Target listed the device as available for purchase at this price tag only during the first week of availability, which was supposed to be August 21-August 27.

Of course, if the phone gets delayed, the retailer will certainly change the time frame for its promotion as well, so as to bring it in line with the new release date.

For the time being, however, there is no official word on the new release date for LG Thrill 4G, and we should wait for AT&T to announce something on the matter before marking the day in our calendars.
