Like many companies preparing for CES 2014, LG has pulled the veil off a bunch of products, in anticipation of the big event.

Meet the LG Ultra PC 13Z940 super-thin laptop and the tablet/notebook hybrids, the TabBook 11T740 and 11T540.

But let’s take one thing at the time. The LG Ultra PC is an incredibly thin and light device created for mobility, with 0.54-inches / 13.71 mm being its thickest point. The device sports a Full HD 13.3-inch IPS display, powered by a Haswell Intel Core i5 processor backed up by 128GB or 256GB of solid-state drive.

The notebook is quite travel-friendly as it weighs no more than 980 g / 2.2 pounds, so you’ll be able to take it anywhere with you.

One of the perks of this product is the so-called “Reader Mode” technology which allows users to “alter the background of any onscreen image to resemble paper” thus promoting decreased eye-strain and the conservation of energy.

Now, moving on to the convertibles, the Tab-Book 2 11T740, the higher-end model from the two, comes bundling a Core i5 Haswell processor and has an 11.6-inch Full HD IPS display (which can perfectly display a maximum brightness of 400nit lumens, so users can use it outdoors).

Like the product outlined above, LG has made a very light and thin device (weighs just 1.05 kg / 2.31 lbs and is 0.65 inches / 16.7mm thin), capable of satisfying the needs of any mobility-seeking customer.

The model has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard hidden behind the 11.6-inch touchscreen that can be taken out and used by simply pushing a button.

On the other hand, LG’s press release doesn't say much about the specifications of the 11T540 Tab Book 2 model, except that the device is a tad lighter than the higher-end model, weighing 930 g / 2.05 lbs. Both models run Windows 8.1 out of the box.

LG hasn't said anything about when the devices might become available or what their price-tags would be, but we expect to know more in the upcoming days.
