Fans of the LG G Pad 8.3 tablet have a new reason to be excited, as the Korean company has just announced a triad of new slates pertaining to the G Pad family.

Like Samsung, LG is outing tablets with varied form factors including 7-inch, 8-inch and 10-inch screens. The slates will see the light of day at the MedPi European tradeshow, which is scheduled to take place between 13 and 16 of May.

According to the company, the new tablets are a result of consumer feedback, with customers asking for more varied screen formats.

For the moment, we don’t have a lot of details to share with you. Apart from two official renders, there’s not much information about the upcoming three G Pad models. But looking at the images, we can see that LG is pushing a new user experience.

The new tablets will feature a new version of the Q Pair software (a system that pairs your tablet with your smartphone, so you can send texts via the slate) and the Knock On / Knock Code function will make a comeback.

LG is already telling us about the strong points of each tablet, without going into specific details. The G Pad 7.0 will be easy to be held in one hand, while three G Pad 8.3 will offer an improved immersive multimedia experience.

Last but not least, the G Pad 10.1 and its big display will be sustained by a huge battery capable of delivering countless hours of fun.

From the first pictures, you can also see that LG is offering the tablets in different colors. The 7-inch will be available in blue, the 8-inch in white and the 10-inch in black.

LG appears to be borrowing some design cues from devices it has produced in partnership with Google, specifically the Nexus 5 and its dotted speaker grille and end curvature.

This aspect might indicate that LG is will be pushing out the Google Play Edition of these models at some point in the future. If this happens, the 10-incher could act like a substitute for the mythical next-generation Nexus 10, a tablet that has been rumored to be in the pipeline countless times and yet failed to materialize in any way.

LG has said that the full specifications of the new models will be announced soon and you can expect to know more about availability and prices in the upcoming weeks.
