We already reported a few days ago that Verizon confirmed the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for LG Spectrum, but the carrier did not offer an exact release date.

Today, Verizon announces the Android 4.0 ICS for LG Spectrum is now pushed through in stages to all devices. This means that not all LG Spectrum owners will receive it at the same time, so make sure you check for it from time to time.

Aside from the usual changes added by Android 4.0 ICS, the update includes the following improvements:

- Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) is now supported; - Watch & Learn videos are supported via streaming; - Improved voice clarity during voice calls; - Power button turns on LCD backlight while on a voice call.
