LG Secret, also known as LG KF750, has received today an official DivX certification, following an agreement between DivX, Inc. and LG Electronics.

Officially announced last week, LG Secret is the latest high-end mobile phone unveiled by the South Korean producer. Being DivX certified, the handset allows users to watch their favorite DivX videos, after loading them on the phone's memory, via USB, or on its memory card. Moreover, LG Secret can become a true portable media library thanks to its TV-out feature, which allows the DivX videos to be viewed directly on TV screens.

The Secret is the second DivX certified LG phone, after LG Viewty, another good looking high-end device that was released last year. Unlike Wiewty, which is a candybar, Secret is a slider that has an even more appealing design, measuring only 11.9 millimeters (the thinnest 5 Megapixel slider phone ever created).

Talking about DivX, Chang Ma, Vice President of global marketing strategy team of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said: "LG recognizes that DivX video playback is a feature that consumers appreciate and rely on. As our newest phone to offer high-quality DivX technology, the LG Secret will allow consumers to do more with their media, watching it how and where they want to watch it."

Kevin Hell, CEO at DivX, Inc., added: "Consumers are increasingly demanding the ability to access their digital media on any device or platform and mobile entertainment devices are an enormously important element of that experience. As a leader in the mobile industry, we're pleased that LG recognizes the value of DivX technology and we look forward to continuing to work together to meet the needs of global consumers."

Besides the DivX certification, LG Secret offers a wide range of other high-end features: a 2.4 inch TFT touchscreen display (240 x 320 pixels and 262K colors), a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash, face detection and video recording (up to 120fps in QVGA mode), 3G connectivity for high data transfer speeds, accelerometer for automatic display rotation, Google applications, Media player with lots of formats supported, 100MB if built-in memory and microSD card support for up to 4GB.

LG KF750 Secret will hit the market in the next months for a retail price of around 550 Euros ($855).
