If you haven’t noticed the trend (although it would seem pretty odd if you haven't), the wearable market is getting a lot of attention these days. LG is one of companies that recently announced its intention to jump into the wearable bandwagon by building an Android Wear smartwatch. But wait, there’s more.

The announcement isn't even cold yet and sources coming from Taiwan (via EPrice) LG is working on a second smartwatch that might make it out on the market immediately after the G Watch.

For those of you who aren't aware of the latest developments, not so long ago Google launched its dedicated wearable OS entitled Android Wear.

Immediately after the announcement, LG and Motorola also pulled the cat out of the bag and revealed they are working on the first two Android Wear smartwaches, the G Watch and the Moto 360 respectively.

Competition in the smartwatch market is getting intense. Samsung is already doing its own thing and has spawned the market with three new wearables, including the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo (which run the Tizen platform) and Gear Fit (which runs ROTS) fitness band.

The Korean tech giant is also rumored to be working on a third Gear smartwatch model, which has been dubbed Solo so far and is expected to arrive with the 3G functionality giving users the opportunity to place phone-calls from their wrists.

Anyway, not so long ago LG teased their upcoming smartwatch on their official Facebook page, giving the world a glimpse on what the wearable might look like when it finally hits the market.

But according to insider sources, LG is pretty confident that it will make an impact in the smartwatch business and is already working to produce a second model. The LG G watch is expected to go on sale this summer.

At this point, we don’t have any more details about the second model, but more information about it will probably be available shortly.

It’s worthy reminding you at this point that LG is also working towards releasing the Lifeband Touch wrist gadget, so the Korean tech giant will end up in the same boat as Samsung that also has two smartwatches and a fitness tracker available on the market.

The first LG G watch is expected to arrive with an OLED display, although this is not a certainty at the moment, so the screen might as well turn to be an efficient LCD too. Under the hood, we might see a Qualcomm processor pumping life into the gadget, as it has been suggested in the past.

Would you pick up a smartwatch from LG?
