LG recently announced the global availability of Optimus Vu starting September. Unfortunately, Australian customers have been left out, LG officials claim.

The folks over at Ausdroid have been told by LG that Optimus Vu will not be ranged by any local operators and will not be available for purchase in Australia.

Keep in mind that LG announced the international version of Optimus Vu would be released with an enhanced quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, though the South Korean and Japanese models are equipped with 1.5 GHz dual-core CPUs.

It is also worth mentioning that the smartphone will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, 5.0-inch HD-IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display and 8-megapixel rear photo snapper.
