South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics won’t bring to the market a new smartphone in the popular Nexus series, Wong Kim, LG's European VP for mobile, said recently.

According to allaboutphones.nl, Wong Kim said in an interview that, while Nexus 4 was indeed a great success, the phone maker doesn’t plan on releasing a Nexus 5 smartphone.

Apparently, the company has an issue with the stock Android loaded on its devices, as it does not plan on launching a smartphone that would not pack its own interface on top, the same as Samsung did with Galaxy S4 “Google Edition.”

Even so, Wong Kim said that the relation between LG and Google is a good one, despite the lack of plans for a new Nexus or for a smartphone packing the vanilla flavor of the Android operating system.
