Given the success of the LG Rumor Touch, Sprint and LG have decided to team up once again to offer customers a sequel to the popular messaging phone.

Dubbed LG Rumor Reflex, the handset improves on its predecessor and offers an eco-friendly experience without sacrificing style and functionality.

The Rumor Reflex will be available through Sprint beginning March 11 for as low as $29.99 with a new two-year agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate.

In addition, Boost Mobile will offer the mobile phone starting March 29 for only $79.99 (excluding taxes) outright. The messaging phone is compatible with Boost Mobile’s $50 Monthly Unlimited plan with Shrinking Payments.

According to Sprint, the device will be initially available in a Titan Grey color, but the carrier confirmed the phone would be offered later in White.

It appears that this is Sprint’s fifth eco-friendly device and Boost Mobile’s second. Given the fact that this is LG Rumor Touch’s successor, it will be delivered with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Furthermore, the slider sports a decent 3-inch WQVGA capacitive touchscreen display, a 2-megapixel rear photo snapper with video recording, built-in GPS, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

It is also worth mentioning the phone’s chassis is built from 31% post-consumer recycled materials by weight. The battery of the handset is also among the most energy efficient available on the market.

Sprint also stated that LG Rumor Reflex had also received the UL Environment Platinum Certification, which is one of the highest levels of environmental performance.

The availability of LG Rumor Reflex for both Sprint and Boost Mobile customers showcases our consumer choice through our multibrand strategy. Customers appreciate the ability to select a great phone and choose between a contract or no-contract option,” said David Owens, vice president, Product Development, Sprint.
