LG launched a new home theater system with DVD HDD (Hard Disc Drive) recorder. The LG-RH9509TA highlights a double layer recording function, which enables users to play and record movies at the same time.

The 250GB recorder, which boasts an 8-in-2 memory card function, allows up to 345hours of recording, which translates into approximately 240 movies. Users can record from a microphone or any other source to the hard disc drives (HDD) in a variety of formats. This is complemented by the simultaneous multiple-track recording capability at CD quality.

With an RMS output of 1200W, the LG LH-RH9509TA is accompanied by four tower speakers, a central speaker and a subwoofer that produce surround sound equivalent to a cinema experience. The tower speakers, decked in a sleek cool silver and black finish, add a modern touch to homes.

The new LG HDD/DVD Recorder also features an innovation: the High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) cable that supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable. This means users can replace up to nine cables with a single HDMI one, eliminating the usual maze of cables.

The LG-RH9509TA is available for around US$ 1000.
