The third Prada phone manufactured by LG has just been confirmed for an early February release by Clove UK. The retailer announced that the first stock is due the week commencing February 6.

Although the device cannot really be considered a high-end smartphone, LG and Prada decided to attach it a high price tag, as Clove UK announced that the LG Prada 3.0 will be available for purchase for no less than £430 (665 USD or 520 EUR).

However, this doesn’t come as a surprise, especially that both previous Prada phones were pretty expensive in comparison with other smartphones in their price range.

According to LG, the device offers “a blend of style and performance” and it “combines the design expertise of Prada with LG’s knowledge of technology and hardware.”

The phone is powered by Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. In addition, it comes pre-loaded with Prada themes, dedicated apps and Prada customized user interface that highlight the exclusivity aspect of the handset.

Equipped with a dual core TI OMAP 4430 CPU clocked at 1 GHz and a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit, the LG Prada 3.0 is not among the most powerful Android phones manufactured by LG.

Furthermore, the smartphone packs 8GB onboard memory, 1GB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Another strong point of the LG Prada 3.0 is the 4.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display, which supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and is based on LG's NOVA Plus technology.

On the back, the device sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while on the front there’s a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera for video calls.

Though LG confirmed that the smartphone will be delivered with a TDMB TV tuner, this one will only be available with the Korean variant of the LG Prada 3.0.
