While there is definitely no shortage of tablets and each comes with its own gimmick, it’s always nice to hear about a new one trying to make a name for itself.

LG seems to be preparing quite the surprise. Dubbed the G Pad, their new tablet is said to come with an 8.3-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.

As far as processing power goes, it will have a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor as well as 2GB of RAM.

Considering the lack of success they have had with the Optimus Pad, it remains to be seen if LG have indeed learned something from their past mistakes.

According to Tablet-News, the new LG portable device is said to be announced come the end of the current year.
