So what did LG invent that's so weird? A smartwatch-stylus hybrid apparently.
Well, maybe “invent” isn't the correct term, since the company has only filed the patent for it, and might never actually follow up on it.
Still, if this bizarre contraption does become real at some point in the future, it will be shaped like a wrist band that can turn into a stylus when taken off.
It's not clear whether LG will really make a full smartwatch at all, or it will stick to normal smartbands, like fitness trackers or something along those lines. Either way, the glory of not losing your stylus will be offset by the tediousness of always having to take off your watch when you need it.
The patent is titled “capacitive type stylus and mobile terminal comprising the same.”
