Consumers and enterprises will soon be able to benefit from enhanced protection features which will be deployed on LG mobile products by extending McAfee's technologies on all their devices that run an Android operating system.

“Security and manageability are critical enablers for enterprises of all sizes,” revealed Ki S. Kim, a corporate vice president of LG Electronics.

“Through our partnership with McAfee, we will deliver essential, out-of-box capabilities to millions of our smart mobile device users while addressing the security concerns of our enterprise customers, especially those who already benefit from McAfee-branded solutions.”

On one hand LG machines will gain a higher level of security which will make sure their customers' data will be properly protected against information theft and mobile malware. With the use of McAfee Enterprise Mobility Management, all the devices can be easily integrated into a business environment, without violating any protection policies that might be implemented by the company.

On the other hand, such a partnership is positive for McAfee as well, as their products will be utilized on a larger scale and if they do their job accordingly, their reputation will benefit from positive advertising.

“By running McAfee mobile security technologies on LG mobile devices, LG can offer its users the opportunity to protect their devices and personal data,” said co-president of McAfee, Todd Gebhart.

“In addition, when users see the McAfee Enterprise Mobility Management shield on LG devices, they can be confident in bringing the device to their IT department and securely connecting it to the corporate network.”

Besides McAfee Enterprise Mobility Management, McAfee Mobile Security will also be integrated on LG's smart gadgets, designed to protect customer data and privacy in the event of loss or theft. It also secures the apparatus against viruses, spyware, and web-based threats.

A lot of collaborations have been announced lately and we hope that the industry will profit from them as, with the latest data breaches, it's clear that businesses need all the protection they can get against cyberattacks.
