LG has recently launched the Optimus White smartphone in the Netherlands, which is a different color edition of the popular LG Optimus Black.

Dubbed as LG Optimus White Edition, the handset features the same hardware layout as its Optimus Black sibling.

Those who wish to acquire the white color version of the Optimus Black can get it for free via carrier Sizz, but they must sign a new multi-year agreement.

However, those purchasing the LG Optimus White Edition will receive a complimentary fashion voucher worth of €60, which can be used in one of the 10,000 stores in the Netherlands to find the latest fashion.

While there are no rumors about additional colors, it won't be surprising for the Korean handset manufacturer to release more color options for the Optimus Black in the near future.

Although LG states that the LG Optimus White Edition is the thinnest (122 x 64 x 9.2 mm) and lightest (109g, battery included) Android handsets available on the market, there are other smartphones thinner the Optimus Black, including the Samsung Galaxy S II.

The famous NOVA mobile display technology makes the large 4.0-inch multi-touch screen one of the brightest out there, while keeping the eligibility at maximum even in strong sunlight conditions.

The new technology requires almost double the amount of energy of a usual TFT LCD display, but LG promises users a longer battery time and unparalleled energy efficiency.

For those who are not familiar with the LG Optimus White Edition device, also known as the Optimus Black, the smartphone is equipped with single core TI OMAP 3630 Cortex-A8 processor clocked at 1GHz, which is complemented by a PowerVR SGX530 GPU.

The Optimus Black runs Google's Android 2.2 (Froyo) platform, but LG officially stated that Gingerbread for the Optimus Black by the end of the year.
