Optimus Vu, LG’s largest Android-powered mobile phone to date, is now available for purchase in the company’s homeland country, South Korea.

The smartphone just went up for sale in the country, via two local wireless carriers, namely SK Telecom and LG U+.

Those users who would like to purchase the device will have to pay 999,900 won (around $890) for it, most probably contract free.

LG Optimus Vu was made official only a few weeks ago with a large 5-inch touchscreen IPS display on the front, capable of delivering a 1024 x 768 pixels resolution. The screen also delivers a 4:3 aspect ratio.

The new mobile phone comes to the market with a dual-core application processor with each core clocked in at 1.5GHz, as well as with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Moreover, it has an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of recording videos in full HD.
