Previously leaked as LG P936, the latest LTE-enabled smartphone announced by the South Korean handset maker has just been introduced in Europe.

Given the fact that this is an LTE device, it will probably be released only in countries where such services are available for the general public.

However, while this might make sense, there’s no confirmation yet that the device won’t be launched in other European countries as well.

Anyway, the LG Optimus True HD LTE has just been launched in Germany. The smartphone will be available from one or multiple carriers across the country.

T-Mobile, Vodafone and O2 currently offer LTE services in Germany, so any of these carriers could offer the smartphone.

Unfortunately, there is no information on the Optimus True HD LTE price tag yet, but we expect to it be heavily subsidized by those operators carrying it.

LTE is not a technology for the distant future, so we expect that in Germany it will soon become standard. This step will be to actively assisted with the launch of the LG Optimus LTE,” said Michael Wilmes, public relations manager at LG Electronics Germany GmbH.

Hardware-wise, the Optimus True HD LTE is a considerable improvement in comparison with LG’s other high-end smartphones such as Optimus 2X and Optimus 3D Max.

This one is equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and boasts an impressive 4.5-inch True HD IPS (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display.

On the back, the device sports an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus and LED flash, while in the back there’s a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for self-portraits and video chats.

LG Optimus True HD LTE embeds 4GB internal memory (only 2GB user available), 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). Last but not least, the smartphone is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform.
