Canadian mobile phone maker TELUS has just added a new device to its offering, namely the LG Optimus One, one of the most popular Android-based mobile phones that LG brought to the market during the ongoing year.

Running under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, the new device sports a nice range of appealing features, while being made available for purchase for free on a three-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

Of course, other price options are also there, including a $99.99 cost on a 2-year contract, a $149.99 price tag on a 1-year agreement, or $199.99 without a contract agreement.

According to TELUS, some of the main features of the new device would include:

- Easy integration of Google applications and services, just by entering your Google account username and password - Seamless multi-tasking, with the ability to use different applications at the same time - Multiple home screens that you can fully personalize with your choice of dynamic widgets and applications

However, the capabilities of this device expand further more. For example, it comes with Wi-Fi Hotspot features, being capable to share a 3G connection with a number of up to 8 Wi-Fi devices.

Moreover, the new LG Optimus One packs an enhanced browser, and offers support for Google Navigation with turn-by-turn voice guidance.

The mobile phone's specifications list also includes a 3.2-inch touchscreen display that boasts a HVGA (320 x 480 pixel) resolution, as well as a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper.

Not to mention that it packs a 150MB internal flash memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

Measuring 113.5 x 59 x 13.3 mm, the LG Optimus One weighs in at 127 grams and packs a battery capable of delivering up to 5 hours of talk time, or up to 18.5 days of standby time.
