TELUS prepares to debut the LG Optimus Net affordable Android smartphone sometime this month.

According to the folks over at MobileSyrup (via tipster), the carrier plans to introduced the Optimus Net on October 27.

Rumors has it that the smartphone will be available for $249.95 (about 182 EUR) outright, but no additional price options have been revealed yet.

LG Optimus Net has yet to make its debut in North America, though the Korean handset manufacturer announced that the smartphone would be available in North America with a QWERTY keyboard, while in some countries, such as Brazil, China, Asia and the CIS region, the Optimus Net would be dual SIM compatible.

In this regard, mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Net10 also confirmed that it will carry the Optimus Net and the Optimus Q, but has yet to announce the smarphones' availability.

However, both are now available for pre-order from Net10 with the carrier's $50 unlimited voice, text and data plan.

Unfortunately, there's no information as to whether or not Bell's Optimus Net features a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Either way, the Optimus Net will be launched at Virgin Mobile as well, rumors claim.
