UK-based carrier O2 has just introduced the affordable LG Optimus Net Android smartphone. Customers can grab this one for free on plans starting at £10.50 per month.

However, those who do not want to commit to a long-term contract can purchase this one for only £129.99 (205 USD or 155 EUR) on PAYG (pay as you go).

The smartphone comes with Gingerbread on board and a low-performance 800 MHz single-core processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 200 graphics processing unit. There’s also a 3-megapixel rear photo snapper with autofocus and video recording.

LG Optimus Net sports a decent 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution. It is also worth mentioning that O2 UK variant of Optimus Net comes with NFC (Near Field Communications) support.
