Yesterday, a new Android-based smartphone from South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics emerged online, namely the LG Optimus L9 II, and the handset has already been officially announced in Europe.

To be more precise, LG has launched the device in the Netherlands with a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) touchscreen display, as well as with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor packed inside.

The new mobile phone also sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, a 1.3MP front camera for video calling, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top.

The specs list of the new handset also includes a 2150 mAh battery, as well as an Infrared transmitter for Quick-Remote.

No specific info on the price tag that LG Optimus L9 II will feature when released on shelves has been provided, but all should be unveiled when it goes up for sale in October, GSM Arena notes.
