The smartphones can be purchased via leading retailers across the country

As expected, LG has just announced the immediate availability of most of its L series of Android smartphones in India. Starting today, the Optimus L7, L5 and L3 are available for purchase from major retailer across the country.

The most expensive of the three is the LG Optimus L7, now available for Rs 19,900 (360 USD or 295 EUR) outright. Furthermore, the Optimus L5 is priced at Rs 13,199 (240 USD or 195 EUR), whereas the Optimus L3 is the cheapest at only Rs 8,895 (160 USD or 130 EUR).

It is also worth mentioning that LG also launched the Optimus 4X HD, which is also up for grabs in India for around Rs 35,000 (635 USD or 515 EUR) off-contract.

Aside LG Optimus L3, all smartphones launched recently run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system integrated with LG’s Optimus UI v3.0.

As the name suggests, the Optimus L7, L5 and L3 feature the South Korean’s new L-Style design, which comprises five elements: “Modern Square Style for a comfortable grip, Floating Mass technology for a slimmer look, seamless layout, harmonized design contrast and sensuous slim shape.”

LG Optimus L7 is equipped with a 1 GHz single-core processor, complemented by an Adreno 200 GPU and 512MB of RAM. There’s 4GB of internal memory inside, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

On the back, the smartphone packs a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, while in the front there’s a secondary VGA camera for video calls.

The Optimus L5 has similar features but comes with a slightly smaller 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen and an 800 MHz single-core processor.

Last but not least LG Optimus L3 is powered by Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread platform and packs an 800 MHz processor, that goes along with an Adreno 200 GPU and 384MB of RAM.
