LG announced its L-style series last month ahead of Mobile World Congress 2012. The company promised that all smartphones in the series would be launched on the market at some point during Q2 2012.

LG Optimus L7 has been recently confirmed for Canada via Rogers, but a release date has yet to be officially announced. In the same news, SoMobile reports that the smartphone is now available for pre-order in the UK for a much cheaper price.

Customers interested in acquiring this mid-tier smartphone can now pre-order it via UK-based retailer Unlocked-mobiles for only £255 (400 USD or 305 EUR) off-contract.

According to the retailer, LG Optimus L7 is expected to arrive in stock on May 1, but the shipping date may be subject to change.

Keep in mind that even if this is a mid-tier Android-based phone, it features a dual-core processor and Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

The LG Optimus L7 boasts a stunning 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, though the South-Korean manufacturer has yet to confirm the screen’s resolution.

There’s also 1GB of RAM inside, along with a 1 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor. No word on the microSD card slot for memory expansion yet.

On the back, the Optimus 7 sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary camera for video chats.

When it comes to connectivity features, LG Optimus L7 is an all-rounder. The smartphone is packed with NFC (Near Field Communications) support and HSPA+ (21Mbps), as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HDMI port.

In other news, LG Optimus L7 in white will be exclusively available via Phones4U. The major retailer will release the handset sometime in April, but it’s unclear if the retailer’s exclusivity extends to the black variant as well.
