The mid-range LG Optimus L7 Android phone has just got another price cut in India. Although not among the top-tier handsets manufactured by the South Korean company, the Optimus L7 is still an interesting alternative for Android fans who cannot afford high-end devices.

AndroidOS reports the smartphone’s price has just received another small cut. Initially launched on the market for Rs 19,990 ($375 or €285), LG Optimus L7 was quickly discounted at Rs 17,990 ($335 or €255) outright.

Starting today, Android enthusiasts in India will be able to purchase the Optimus L7 for just Rs 15,990 ($300 or €230), though there are some retailers that offer it for Rs 15,690 ($290 or €225) off-contract.

LG Optimus L9 was the top device of the L-Style series until the South Korean company introduced the Optimus L9 back in September.

The smartphone comes with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box and will be stuck on this version, as LG did not include the Optimus L7 on the list of Jelly Bean upgradable devices.

Hardware-wise, the phone is equipped with a 1 GHz single-core Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon processor built on Cortex-A5 architecture, accompanied by an Adreno 200 graphics processing unit and 512MB of RAM.

It also sports a more than decent 4.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution, and features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

Furthermore, the Optimus L7 packs 4GB of internal memory (2.4GB user available), as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The 5-megapixel rear camera features autofocus, LED flash and video recording. There’s also a secondary VGA camera for video calls. The Optimus L9 offers both HSDPA and HSUPA support, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC (Near Field Communication).
