Although we already know that LG Optimus L7 will soon be released in Canada through Rogers and Fido, we still don’t have an official confirmation.

However, the first accessories for the Optimus L7 started to arrive at Rogers over the weekend, which points to a rather imminent launch within the next few days.

The carrier will add the Optimus L7 to its “Lite” portfolio of smartphones, which will make it pretty affordable to customers who wish to purchase an Android device.

Rumor has it that Rogers will offer the LG Optimus L7 Android phone for as low as $50 CAD with a new three-agreement, though we’re still waiting for some kind of confirmation. Fido will also launch the Optimus L7 as well, probably as soon as the smartphone goes live at Rogers.

Unveiled back in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, LG Optimus L7 is a mid-range Android phone, which is now available for purchase in the UK for 234 GBP (365 USD/290 EUR) outright.

The device is powered by Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, but we’re not sure if the smartphone will be integrated with LG’s Optimus 3.0 UI, which has recently been explained in detail.

Furthermore, the phone’s hardware is not that impressive, but it’s quite understandable given the fact that this is a mid-range smartphone.

In this regard, Optimus L7 is equipped with a 1 GHz single core Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon processor, which is complemented by an old Adreno 200 graphics processing unit and 512MB of RAM.

On the inside, the handset packs 4 GB (2.4GB user available) of internal memory, which can be further expanded to up to 32GB via microSD card.

It also sports dual cameras, 5-megapixel rear photo snapper and VGA front-facing camera, as well as a 4.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display (480 x 800 pixels). Stay tuned for more information on LG Optimus L7’s upcoming release.
