Good news for LG Optimus L5 owners in India as the South Korean company has just kicked off the deployment of the long-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

According to AndroidOS, the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in waves, so it will take some time until it reaches all LG Optimus L5 users.

Unfortunately, only users who own the single-SIM version of LG Optimus L5 have reported that the update is available for download, which means that those with the dual-SIM model have been left out from the initial deployment.

Although there’s no official word from LG, Optimus L5 owners who receive the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update can expect major improvements and enhancements, as well as lots of new features.

In order to manually check for the update, simply head over to Settings / About phone / Software update / Update, and hope for the best.
