The smartphone comes with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean onboard

Canadian carrier Virgin Mobile and South Korean handset maker LG have teamed up once again to offer Android fans a new affordable smartphone, the Optimus L5 II.

As MobileSyrup notes, LG Optimus L5 II is now available for purchase at Virgin Mobile Canada for only $150 / €115 off contract.

The smartphone runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a 1 GHz single-core processor.

Furthermore, the Optimus L5 II features only 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Other highlights of the affordable smartphone include a 5-megapixel rear facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and VGA recording, as well as a 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and an 1700 mAh Li-Ion battery.
