14 DAY TRIAL // South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has kicked off the global roll-out of its new LG Optimus L5 II smartphone, as it has officially announced the handset’s availability in Brazil.
The company will make the smartphone available in this country in a dual-SIM flavor, and plans on launching it in both single and dual-SIM variants in South and Central America, Europe, Asia, Russia, the Middle East and Africa in the near future.
The smartphone was made official last month with a 4.0-inch WVGA screen, a single-core 1GHz processor inside, and 512 MB of RAM.
Furthermore, the device packs 4GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot, a 5MP camera on the back, and a 1700 mAh battery inside.
The smartphone will land on shelves in color versions including Indigo Black, White, Pink, and Titan, while running under Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
The same as other devices in the company’s L-Series, the new Optimus L5 II was designed to fit comfortably in the hand, while also featuring a sleek body with Laser Cut Contour, and Radiant Rear Design made of premium materials.
Furthermore, LG loaded its own user interface on top of Android, so as to provide users with a series of new, exclusive features, including a Quick Button to launch functions such as QuickMemo, camera, Internet, music, and more.
“Quick Button is a versatile feature that eliminates the need for tapping repetitively through menus,” LG explains.
Optimus L5 II also sports various security enhancements, including LG’s own Safety Care feature, which was designed to offer real-world assistance when users need it the most with Emergency Call Forwarding, Phone Non-Usage and My Location Notice.
