Optimus L3 II, the cheapest smartphone in LG’s new L II series, has just made an appearance in India, suggesting that the South Korean vendor might be gearing up for the launch of the entire lineup in this country shortly.

The Black LG Optimus L3 II E435 can be seen listed on this page at online retailer Flipkart, where it sports a price tag of INR 7,899 ($145 / 114 Euro), but with no specific release date attached to it. The phone is also said to be out of stock.

At the same time, the phone emerged on LG India's website, with a MRP of INR 8,800 ($161 / 126 Euro) next to it. It can be seen on this page there.

The mobile phone was initially expected to be released in India in March, but it seems that LG needed some more time before bringing it to shelves in this market.

As AndroidOS notes, LG has yet to officially unveil details on the device’s release, and also to confirm the availability of its Optimus L5 II and Optimus L7 II smartphones in this country.

For the time being, however, Optimus L3 II is certain to arrive on shelves in India in the not too distant future, and should prove an appealing option for users, especially given its price tag.

LG Optimus L3 II E435 packs a 3.2-inch IPS touchscreen display that can deliver a 320 x 240 pixels resolution, and is powered by a 1GHz processor.

The handset also sports 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot to allow for further expansion, and a 1540 mAh battery.

Additionally, the handset sports a 3-megapixel photo snapper on the back, dual-SIM capabilities, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS receiver, and runs under Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

Apparently, LG might also plan on launching the single-SIM flavor of the smartphone in India, and could also price it lower than this flavor, yet it still remains to be seen when and whether that will happen. Stay tuned for additional info on this.
