Wireless carrier AT&T has started to deliver a new software update for its LG Optimus G users, providing them with the benefits of the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system flavor.

The operator hasn’t provided an official statement on the matter, but users have already received notifications on the update, and even managed to bring their smartphones up to the newer platform release, as Engadget notes.

As it usually happens with these updates, the new software will be pushed to handsets in phases, which means that some of them will receive it at a later date.

However, those who own an LG Optimus G on AT&T’s network should check on their devices to see whether the update hasn’t been made available for them as well, by going to Settings > About Phone > System updates.
